The mother’s desperate plea to wake her baby with her loud alarm through her trunk gave me goosebumps. Nature and life is so miraculous.
Through the years I’ve watched this video and it always makes me cry. I’m so glad the humans stood aside and let mum do her work on her own. Elephants are amazing.

That was one of the most beautiful and intense things I’ve ever seen. it was so awesome that she knew what to do. In our human view it looked like she might have been abusing it or rejecting it. but no not at all! She knew exactly what she was doing God bless her!
For anyone reading this in 2020, I did some research and found out that the baby Riski in this video became a mom herself at 10 years old in 2019. She had a baby girl named April who was born in April fools day. 🙂
